As a senior in high school, is it better to take AP classes or duel enroll at a community college? I want to go to a good university. Do you know which one they prefer? thank you!

HS counselors seem to push both of these as important to colleges for admission and they really aren't that high on the list. More important is your cumulative GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and activities.

AP classes are only beneficial if you score well on the AP exams. Dual CC enrollment is only beneficial if you do well in the CC class. Many people make the mistake of not understanding that you're better off having no performance on these than an average or bad performance.

That said, if you like interacting with students older than you are then the CC is a good pick. It gets you out of HS-land for a little bit. Things tend to go quicker at the CC than in AP class. If you prefer classmates your own age then the AP classes will be better for you.

As long as you perform well, it doesn't matter which you do or if you do neither and find another thing to improve your application.

Just the AP.... advanced placement will prepare U well enough for college and those classes are weighted heavier so they should keep Ur GPA in good shape! Good Luck!
