i dont know where you live but we are having the hottest most humid weather to date and the winters are short less cold and there is virtually no snow, yes we will in the short run but after a while our ecosystem will be so screwed it wont be funny. last winter i saw a bee, it was cold stupid but a living bee nonetheless. also mammals will come out of hibernation sooner to find no food, bird will migrate later affecting other ecosystems, if it continues at this rate the world will see drastic changes. but for next 5 years canada is loving it.
p.s. its also causing a nationwide drought, the agriculture is suffering like you wouldnt beleive, put it this way, soy plants shouldnt turn yellow.

as per the last answer the ecosystems will change which will mean disruption in the 'status quo'.
however when things change humans react by finding the easiest lifestyles and most accessible resources. canada will likely have virgin coastline along the arctic ocean. resources currently under snow will be accesible. so canada will have things that other nations lose.
so I would say yes, canada will benefit from global warming. or more acurately, the pros and cons of global warming will have a better result for canada than for many other countries.

Yes and no. It might get a great shipping route if the ice pack melts. It would also get more arable land if things warm up.

It also might get inundated if the methane in the tundra escapes while it melts and forces sea levels up 21 meters or so. That includes the maritime provinces and those on the Great Lakes/St Lawrence seaway.

The ecology would also be harmed as ecologic niches disappear
