People want to share their knowledge and opinions and to learn from others in real time. People also need to communicate with others and test themselves against others. Reading and research are wonderful and necessary, but the miracle of technology allows us to receive instantaneous communication. It's not a question of addiction or control most of the time, but of the need to share and communicate.

I feel that Yahoo Answers is a learning experience for me, and I also am a very curious person to asks questions here to get more points to ask more questions.

For me in particular, I first came here seeking advice. Now I just like to answer a lot of questions, mostly because it's fun to gain points and see if you can get a "best answer". I also like to answer questions just because it gives me something to do and it's fun to read other people's questions. I admit, I've become slightly addicted to it now, haha.
