Gasoline engine: How do you adjust the choke linkage (nut-bolt spring linkage) and needle valve carburetor (screw-spring) for optimal performance ?

The settings were moved and everything seems okay. Just wondered if there is a set up proceedure for optimum performance ?

With the choke I would think that making sure it fully opens and closes is about all you need. With the needle valve you generally start with a turn to a turn and a half open, once the engine is started you adjust to the best running, usuall the max rpm.

The thing about "Tweaking" a generator is you do not want it running too fast or it will burn out whats plugged in. It must run at 3720 RPM or 62 Hertz. That way when a load is put on the generator and it slows down it will slow to 3600 or 60 hertz.

I was always told The Gas Engine should be running at 3600 RPM depending on the wattage or Engine cc size every generator is probably different.
