Lately, every time I lay down to go to sleep, songs keep popping into my head and keep playing over and over! When this happens(which is practically every night),Im not wide-awake.Im usually quite exhausted. Its as if I’m trying to sleep but a stereo is blasting in my mind!I go to bed at 10:00 p.m. sometimes, hoping it will fade at some point, only to discover its 1:30 in the a.m. and I still can’t sleep! Also, if I wake up too early (like at 4:00 or 5:00 a.m.) from a loud noise or something,it happens again and even though I am tired,I can’t fall back asleep.I’ve tried listening to music before bed to stop this nuisance but that doesn’t work either(it usually makes it worse because then those are the songs stuck in my head).I don’t want to take sleeping pills but I really need to know how to get this ridiculousness to stop.Or Id at least like to know why this keeps happening.Anyone have any suggestions?Let me know ASAP because I’d like to get a good night’s rest before the next millennium!

drink a hot cup of Chamomile Tea with honey in the evenings to help you relax. This will usually help people sleep. Also take 500mg of calcium and magnesium before bedtime. Doing both of these things will help you get a better night's sleep.

try listening to a cd or mp3 player, i listen to my cd player all the time in bed and i always fall asleep with it on no prob.

my point is that instead of one song keeping your mind active and annoying the hell out of you, listen to different ones to make your mind less stressed and sleep
but not very loud, like vol 1-2
