1 second has 1, 000 miliseconds in it. 4 minutes has 240 seconds. So you would multiply 240 by 1,000 to get 240,000.

A millisecond is 1/1000 of a second...or, to put it another way, there are 1000 milliseconds in a second.

4 minutes x 60 seconds/minute = 240 seconds

240 seconds x 1000 milliseconds/second = 240,000 milliseconds

Ok, this is a straightfoward demensional analysis question. To answer, what are the relationships between minutes and seconds as well as seconds and milliseconds?
Easy....

1 min = 60 sec
1 sec = 1000 millisec

So...

4 min * (60 sec/1 min) * (1000 millisec/1 sec) =

240000 millisec

there are 1000 milliseconds per second
60 seconds to a minute, you have 4 minutes
multiply 1000 times 60 to find miliseconds per minute=60,000; then multiply that by 4=
