Most people will call her Lillian Gillan, which does indeed sound strange to me. Maybe they'll call her Lily, and it's the same.
I'm so sorry about your sil. My condolences to the family.

It really doesn't flow at all. Sounds like a tounge twister. And a childrens rhymn. It is up to you. Say it out loud and see if you think you can give a child that name. All names are good, but the combonation is sounding like a variation of the same name.
Think about this.... your daughter is in school and they call her name in roll call.....Lillian Gillan......I can hear the giggles and the teasing.
You might name her Lilly Caitin Gillan.
Lily Gillan still sounds a bit strange.
Maybe have two middle names
Lillian Jean Caitlin Gillan
And call her Lillian-Jean
You need to work on the weird factor with your choice of name.

I love the names Lillian and Caitlin. However, with your last name, it has a repetive ending, which doesn't sound too great. It sounds like it rhymes, and that's not too good. They all end in the -en sound.
Consider naming her Lily (or Lillie, Lilly, etc.). This nickname for Lillian is just as cute, and takes away the rhyming aspect. Lily Caitlin Gillan sounds much more melodic, and keeps the basic names that you chose.
Good luck and God bless!

Yes, I'm afraid my first thought was that it was too much "-an/in/an." Also, Lillian and Gillan are only two letters off, which is totally playing tricks on my eyes here. In fact, I just came back and edited because I originally read that as Gillian (as I see most others did as well)! LOL Suffice it to say, I couldn't in good conscience put "Lillian Gillan" on a child.
Have you considered Lillias, Liliana, Lillia, Lila, Lile (LEE-la) or simply Lily/Lilly? All obviously similar, but without the problematic N-dings. ;)

I don't like Lillian, it sounds like a name for an elderly woman. The entire name together does sound too N-y. How about Brooke Caitlin Gillan or Ashleigh Caitlin Gillan?

I kinda like how it has a common "n-y" flow to it. If it was just the first and middle name it might be weird, but all 3 kinda flow together nicely. Plus! How often are you really going to be calling her by her full name? 90% of the time she'll just be Lillian Gillan. :)
Either way, it's a BEAUTIFUL name any little girl would be lucky to have.
Plus. You can always call her Lily if you think there's too many N sounds in it.

It has wayy to much of the N sound. If you must keep Caitlin Gillian, I would stay away from any names that end with N for the first name. For instance:
Lilly Caitlin Gillan sounds fine.

Lillian is a nice name- it's also my cousins name, however with the last name being Gillan almost rhyming with Lillian it can be a disaster when it's time to start school with teasing.
I like the name though

Lillian is a beautiful name......but I do not think it flows very well. It is way too much of a tongue twister! It also looks like the same name writte with a different first letter 3 times. How about just Lily.....still looks weird but sounds better...slightly :)
