I just started using tampons and the tampax pearl i'm using hurts to take out because of the way it opens up inside you....like a square.

Does the gentle glide playtex open that way?

Any suggestions for me?
Thanks.

No, playtex tampons open up MUCH differently than Tampax. Playtex Gentle Glide opens up a full 360 degrees! It's easier to take it out. I know what you're talking about.. Tampax only opens up width-wise like a rectangle. Best of luck!

I like playtex sport when I'm exercising and tampax when I'm not. I find that playtex absorbs more, but since I dont have a very heavy period I can only use it while exercising, or else the removal will be painful.

playtex is the best!!dont use tampax they are like a rectangle playtex well i dont kno how to really explain it but its like round and pointy at the end so it comes out easily

try them
i leak in an hour with tampax and only one side it full
not a good tampon

It is not so much it opens, morley expands in you from obsorbing the moisture.

there are tampons that come in different sizes, try a smaller size, it will not expand as much and it will most likely hurt less when you pull it out.

gentle glide playtex will most likely open the same way, all the tampons are pretty much the same some are just designed a little different to prevent leakage but the all expand so you will get that pain.

Oh just a thought you might be putting the tampon in a little crooked, if so it will expand in an uncomfortable position causing pain when you pull it out, this happened to me when i first used a tampon.

Playtex tend to open more rounded... but you shouldn't FEEL it open inside you either way. You're using the wrong absorbency level if it's hurting to take out. Use the Juniors/Lites and don't change tampons until it slides out easily (this can be up to 8hrs).

I would try a variety of plugs & sizes (tampons / playtex) & find the one that fits best & hurts you the least.
