First, bring all the variables to one side, and the regular numbers to the other:

6x - 4x = 5 - 7

2x = -2

Isolate the variable:

2x/2 = -2/2

Divide and get the final answer:

x = -1

I'm assuming that you're solving for your x variable. You're going to want to place your like terms on the same sides, you can do that by subtracting 4x from the right side of your equation. You'll then need to subtract 4x from 6x, on the left side of your equation because what is done to one side, must be done to the other. Now you have:

2x + 7 = 5

Subtract 7 from the left, and then right side:

2x = -2

Now, to solve for x, divide both sides by 2:

x = -1

And that's be your answer. Hopefully that made some sense.

u can start anywhere pretty much i jus prefer to do the x ones first

6x+7=4x+5
-4x -4x
2x+7=5(i got rid of the 4x by subtracting it because we only need 1 number with x)
2x+7=5
-7 -7(get rid of 7 since its blocking the x number from being by itself
2x=-2
/2 /2(u divide both sides by 2 becuase its 2x and dividing by two will leave x by itself)
x=-1 theres ur answer

Get the variables on the same side of the equation.

6x+7=4x+5
6x-4x=5-7
2x=-2
x=-1

I would subtract 6x from each side and subtract 5 to come up to 2 = -2x. Then divide by 2 to get -1 = x.

To make sure you have the correct answer you can check it.
6(-1)+7=4(-1)+5
-6+7=-4+5
1=1

your answer is x=-1

-5 from both sides...so u can get rid of the 5 on the right...
now u have 6x+2=4x
now -6X from both sides
u will have 2=-2x
divide -2x from both sides...
the answer will be x=-1

6x+7=4x+5
---- -7---- -7
6x= 4x - 2
-4x -4x
2x= -2

first subtract 7 from each side
6x=4x-2
then subtract 4x from each side
2x=-2
divide both sides by 2
x=-1
