I have to write an essay about 3 hopes, goals or expectations about highschool, for my english 1 class. The trouble is starting it. How would I write my introduction/thesis statement?

In any thesis you say what your going to tell them, You tell them. Then you tell them what you told them.

The best way I start is by outlining the topic. I suggest you identify 3 hopes, three goals and 3 expectations first, then narrow it down to the top 3 of those 9.

Well darling, first you need to come up with what your three hopes or expectations are for high school and then go from there. For instance: to get an education, make friends, and participate in an extra curriculum organization like drama club, speech team or the French Club, etc.
