I get mine from Asda or Tesco and sometimes i have to wash them. Just goes to show that most of you don't even notice what you put in your fridge...lol

I don't wash the poo off.
I don't put them into the fridge.
I don't use the water I boil them in, for food.
I don't eat the shells.
I don't lick the shells.
I do see some poo, while checking the eggs are unbroken in the shop, but it is dry, and very thin.

If I intended to decorate the shell after using the egg, I would clean it off, but only after blowing the egg out, because the shell is porous, and washing poo off, could put it into the egg.

I only get freerange eggs, maybe battery farm eggs are washed, they don't care for the hens, so why should they care if some poo gets into the eggs, if it makes the eggs look cleaner?

I don't keep chickens anymore, but when I did, I always washed the eggs before putting them away in the fridge. I sure do miss those nice brown eggs, Rhode Island Reds!!

i have poo free eggs- i wouldn't pay for eggs i had to clean the poo off!!! Anyway whats the point unless you plan on eating the shell. Eggs absorb smells from your fridge so even if there is poo they are unlikely to honk out the fridge as should absord the smell :)

I actually read a report somewhere on the web that said that washing eggs was not recommended as it removes some sort of protective coating that keeps the bacteria out. - - really! So, I don't wash em. Haven't for at least the past 50 years.

I would go to Youtube and look for videos of Tesco or Asda nightshift workers placing eggs where the sun don't shine...

Obviously you get your eggs direct from the chicken coop. Yes - I would say wash them so nothing else in your fridge gets contaminated. But make sure you wash them in cold water.

Ew no!! Did you know that eggs are extreemly porous and if you wash them you can actually introduce the poo in the eggs with the water?

I have three small children. I have no time to look for poo on my eggs. If they SMELL like poo, then we have an issue (happened to us at McDonalds the other day...no lie).
