Listen to the song "Masters of War" by Bob Dylan. It is quite appropriate.

I cannot believe the cold, insensitive answers to this very appropriate question. Sending these brave young people to possible death for reasons know only to Bush and his cronies is insane. Thousands have died who would still be alive, if we had not invaded their country. Taking Saddam out was probably the right thing, but everything beyond that, except the hunt for bin-Laden in Afghanistan, was wrong. Iraq is in much worse condition than it was the day we started bombing them. There is NO EXCUSE good enough to explain the deaths of thousands of innocent men, women and children! And we let our young people get killed!

Believe me, I do notice the age. It is a tragedy that this day and age in Iraq have come upon the world. However, what comes out of Iraq will be bountiful for the world, and will make the age of voluntary enlistment broader, so that those in this age group will perish no more.

You're right, but these people did sign up. Guess who didn't? The now millions of Iraqis that are dead. Seems everyone forgot about them. And many of them weren't even adults, let alone conspirators in Saddam Hussein's supposed terrible crimes.

At 18 I never expected to see 21 and lived accordingly. I think most do.

They are the most capable to endure the duty.

Age does not matter. What matters is what you achieve in life and be happy. Soldiers are happy when they feel that they served their country even when they die because it was their choice.

This has always been the case in war,the vast majority of those who die are young. It is tragic in a way,but it is also nothing new.

I guess around the same age of the gangbangers who get killed in the U.S. everyday. Only more of them get killed in the U.S. than in combat. At least they are serving their country in Iraq. Which is the worse tragedy?
