Many things make us smile every time. Seems a select few things loosen a laugh. Is there something universal about them? What is it about them?

The line in the song "Bottle Of Wine" by Jimmy Gilmer when he says"my pants are so old that they shine". I don't know why it makes me laugh, but even while I'm answering this,I'm chuckling.
