would it just be x or would i cross it out and ignore it?

also if its (xm*-2)*0
what would i do?

THE * MEANS THE NUMBERS ARE AN EXPONENT!

x^0 =1 ALWAYS

for your second question, same rules apply, everything inside the parentheses will be raised to the ZERO power, it will always equal 1.

We actually use the "^" as the exponent key. The "*" is the multiplication key.

An exponent of 0 means a value of 1. For example
x^0 =1
Remember the laws of exponents
(x^a)/(x^b) = x^(a-b)
The only exception is 0^0 which is -undefined-.

anything to the zero power is 1.
(Which means it cancels out if you multiply it by something:
4 x^0 y^3 = 4 y^3)
