*they whispered about me to other customers but were nice to my face? (the customer made sure i knew they were talking about me and how i was short tempered with my kids running around and how we act in general)

*i joked about him to my bff and someone else overheard and reported it to him and he now makes "funny remarks" while i'm there pertaining to what i said. (it was really all in good fun, i stated JOKINGLY he got "fat" since high school, but so did i and everyone else i know, now he jokes about being fat the last 3 times i went). kinda rubbed me the wrong way!
*they are super expensive but do terrific job, no one else in the area can compare to the end result!

my bff got me a gift certificates for another "oil change" and i was considering going there to use them but should i go back to the other guy and take the crap or get over it?

Sweetie you need to shop around for another mechanic. Your car is a valuable object, and needs to be in safe condition. You and your family depend on it. I have always been leery of mechanics any way. but with all this bull crap going on, better safe, than sorry.

#1.
If you can cash in the gift certificates and find another mechanic.
You don't need that bullshit and you don't need the kids hearing that.

#2. you can go back , if the B.S. starts tell him you came in for an oil change not for his opinion.
And be strong about it so he knows your not joking.
And keep an eye on your car.

But if it was me I'd go with number 1.

i'd shop around, that guy had no business telling other
people your business. and its none of his business how
you react with your children. i would have told him off, i
congratulate you for being able to joke about it with him.
i would have told him off.
