My mom's birthday is in a couple of days. Normally we get her a watch or perfume which she always returns. Once she did keep the perfume...We go out to eat at a restaurant and get a Bday cake. Nothing interesting at all. I need help with awesome ideas. (Bear in mind that I'm 15, my sis is 17)

do something heartfelt and original for your mother ,since you're a teen. why not make her something that says how much you and your sister appreciate your mom.
maybe some flowers or a handmade gift . or get a scrapbook or photo album and put some of your moms favorite photos in it with poetry.

Well, what does your mom like to do? Ask yourself her passions and then choose a category to shop within, such as cooking/kitchenware, entertainment, gardening, clothing, jewelry, athletic gear, etc. Also consider whether she would prefer a gift card or receiving an item personally. When in doubt, make her a card and write a sweet message for her. I think parents treasure heartfelt words more than any other gift. A tip: Telling fellow Yahoo! Answers users a little about your mom, like her interests and what she's received and loved in the past, would help us in trying to answer your question.

Try asking her she wants. Tell her that it is important to you and your sister that you guys get her a gift that she will like and enjoy. If that fails then go with the gift card idea like the guy up^^ there said. My best birthday gifts have been the ones that I asked what the person wanted and went out and got it. Good luck and remember "it's the thought that counts!"

I think its best to ask her what she may want, and if she won't tell you...a gift card is best. I'm 15 too, but for my mother we do home made things, its what mothers love best.
When she knows you took the time to make her something, and not just buy it, it will make her very happy.
Have fun with it, and make sure you le her know how wonderful of a mother she is!

As a mom of three boys-I would love for them to make dinner for me or breakfast. Does your mom like to do things outdoors? Does she have a favorite activity you could plan as a surprise for her? Do you play music at all? Write her a song from you to mom. Start with something she likes to do and hasn't gotten do for awhile. I would love something like that over a gift.

My mom always likes massagers. Or a gift card to a clothing store she really likes.

Get out the Recipe books and prepare her favourite meal. Set the table with her nice plates and glasses. Put a small vase of flowers in the middle. It will be appreciated, and she's not about to take it back.

Vera Bradley accessories are great. Seek-a-word puzzle books. Flowers/plant.

It really depends on what she is into. My mom is into gardening so i got her a ceramic pot and painted it some bright colors.

Mom's always like things that you make or give a personal touch.

Provide maid service completed by you and your sister. Clean her entire house, to include yard work then cook dinner, breakfast for her. Especially, if you guys don't do your chores.
