The report hasn’t even been given yet and already liberals are using the same boring tactics they always do.

Is it because it opposes their assessment that we have "already lost the war"?

Wouldn’t a sensible person wait for the report to be given and take the time to analyze it before undermining it?

AC1- Read the question. I am well aware that we havent lost. Im not a liberal that parrots that statement daily. The question is, shouldnt they review the report BEFORE undermining.

Because the Democrats are already discounting the report, means two things...

1. It's likely the most credible report ... and 2. it's a good report so they want it in the past as fast as possible, to scrap it like yesterday's newspaper.

Who the hell is the "Washington Times" is that some GOP bastardization of the Post?

Anyway, they don't need to discredit the report, it's been floating around for a while. In the General's version, progress has been made toward 8 of the 18 benchmarks, although he admits not all of them have been acheived. In the GAO (non-partisan) version, only 3 of the benchmarks have made noteworthy progress.

Let the General soften the bad news if he'd like, 8 out of 18 still isn't good.

This is the report that was supposed to be given by a US General, and is now a joint report given by said general and the White House, correct? I suppose the real question is, why would anybody trust the repor to begin with?

What do you mean discounted the 'war report'? I discounted the entire fiasco since 2001, when it started. It's a no brainer, soon to be eight years after the fact and probably longer.

Well, it is Bush's report afterall.

Petraeus had nothing to do with the creation of it and will only act as a mouthpiece of the Admin. in front of Congress.

If the report had actually been written by Petraeus, then it would be a different situation, since Petraeus was seen as unbiased at first.

Oh well....Bush & Co. shoot themselves in the foot again....no surprise there....

Who said democrats are sensible? They would say the sky is green if a republican said it's blue. They just don't want to agree with ANYTHING a republican says, they don't work well with others that don't agree with them.
Oh aren't they the party of diversity?

Democrats cannot even face the fact that the Economy of the USA is growing and Unemployment Rate is down.

of course they do. so do many other Americans. This administration has lost all credibility. Look what they made Colin Powell do when he lied about the war prior to the start of it. Why would the average American think the same thing will happen now???
