This is an answer only Harry Potter can sumpply--one of those universal jelly beans (US term) must have been fear.
My closest approximation would be overcooked pork marinated in a combination of too many red pepper flakes,
sour candies melted, inferior rum, cheap root beer and dash or two ofsour vinegar and then served with tons of cilantro as a topping, which I do not care for.

It would taste something similar to whiskey..... bitter, strong, sharp & burning. It would be the kind of taste to get your heart & mind racing.
