when you're HIGH, should you WORRY of who or what's BELOW you?

Hi,
Not so much worry, but never lose awareness of what is behind you and around you. Never lose touch with other people. When you're high, be prepared to pull those below you up. When you're ahead, pause and wait for others to catch up with you or backtrack a little and help them on the last leg of their journey.
In my philosophy: you should always be considerate, helpful and respectful of others, no matter where you are, what you're doing and no matter whether you're at the top or the bottom.

I always was a head, and never particularly worried about my behind, even when that head got my behind in trouble. Worry never got anyone anywhere. I've never considered myself so high that anyone was beneath me, or worried about what was below even when I seemed to be on shaky ground. So I guess in the end I come out ahead because I'm still standing and have a lot of other good people willing to stand by me. ;^P)))

Yes, we should. What's winning a race if you're ALONE finishing the end line?
In our running life, when someone falls behind, it affects the track as well. It somehow clogs the way. Wouldn't it be good to help someone get on his feet again so he, too, could do his try of run once more which likewise clears the way for others? Some would surely say that's "idiotic" -"stopping on the way to the top?" uh-oh,..not really. The essence of winning lies on the progress of your human behavior and wholesome attitude towards those who are inferior to you. If you gave a hand to a fallen friend, you've already won your prize,..- which is winning another friend.

There would always be people ahead of me, and there are always people who have gone to higher places than where I am. And then there are also others who in turn are trying to start climbing the very same ladder where I perch even at this very moment.

I do not normally perceive others as contenders to the place where I am headed, either they are ahead or behind me. I am my own pacemaker and I am my own challenger. I set goals in terms of a job well done, and reveling in the satisfaction that I am doing what I love at my own comfortable pace.

I am learning not to run the race that everyone else seems to be running. I am learning that there are much more to life than material achievements. If I happen to be ahead, I would love it if my friends and family would be there too, with me. And if I happen to be behind, then it would be my own fault for not trying hard enough.

But no matter where I am, it is important for me to be enjoying myself and doing my absolute and honest best in whatever it is that I do there. Worrying too much will only distract me. My grass doesn’t always have to be greener or the greenest in the neighborhood. I’ll color my grass to my own unique shade of green, and take them with me wherever I may go…

When you're ahead, you should be giving a helping hand to the people who are ''behind'' or ''below'' you...like the poor and so on.

well!
sometimes least is better than best.
so don't worry but one should have an eye on the least too
perhaps that least will beat you
go higher and higher but look whats coming at your back.
when one get a higher position it becomes very difficult for that person to maintain his position,
because in this world nothing is certain
but always hope for the best and look for golden opportunities.
don't bother because these belows are there o bring you down only when you worry about them.

Two big game hunters were running from this hungry Lion. One hunter said "I sure hope we can stay ahead of this Lion". The other hunter said " I hope I can stay ahead of you!".
Being Ahead is entirely competitive. It's not about being your best, it's about being better than other people. If you are human enough to worry about who is behind or below you, then you are compassionate, not competitive.

Not worry, yet certainly a state of readiness for what is behind or below, when it is physical position.

Prepared and equipped from what is behind and below, when in the philosophical sense.

The operative word here is 'worry'. I prefer the question to be, should you 'care' who or what's behind you.

My answer would then be most definitely yes. We can not forget or ignore others in less advantageous positions. It is cruel to do so.

To me 'worry' connotates a feeling of paranoia or anxiety. I do not like to possess these.
