Is the report abuse function really working, let alone worth it?

In recent says, I have noticed what I can only describe as "An explosion" of racially motivated, sexist, and/or obscene behavior from various people on this site (names will not be mentioned in the interest of TRYING to avoid a report myself). These people already know who they are. My question here is that if Yahoo REALLY does appreciate us trying to maintain a "safe and family friendly atmosphere", why are the abuse reports not truly invesitigated. Many of us have seen, as have I, repeated violations for seemingly innoecent questions of our own and some of us have even lost accounts over it. So, it begs to question, why are we even bothering to report these people when we all know that in a matter of hours, even MINUTES, they come back. Something needs to be done within Yahoo Answers to stop this from happening, either by us paying NO attention to these trolls or by Yahoo! waking up and stepping up security measures to insure that these abusive little trolls never return.

You are so right...something really needs to be done & I think it is soley yahoo's responsibility! I have gotten plenty of violations because of these trolls and trying to fight it with yahoo's help is like repeatedly crashing into a brick wall...on purpose! Ignoring the trolls does no good either! Seems like we are stuck in a deep dark hole...with absolutely no way out...except to quit Y!A all together! Well, I for one am not going to give any of them the satisfaction! I hope you will be strong and fight as well! That seems to be our only defense...by the good people here standing together and sticking it out...all of us as one!!! =D

It's horrible. I've gotten reported and violation notices in Religion and spirituality for saying that I wasn't a Christian and yet I've seen people put up the sickest things and gotten away with it.
