I see articles for products that have just been released (within an hour) and an article will come out at the same time. Technology, health, studies, medicine, politics, they find out everything fast! How do they manage to dothis?

Trade secret -- they find out in advance. That's why companies have public relations people.

The stories are embargoed for a specific time and date, but then it's OK. For example, take the iPhone. I don't know the particulars there, but you'd think Apple would want reporters to have seen it beforehand, so the stories could come out as soon as the public display took place. That's just good planning.

In addition, it's pretty easy to get news out quickly. If a sports event ends at say, 10:30, we can have it in a printed newspaper within 30-40 minutes of that. That's pretty quick, and it's even faster in radio and television.

Companies prepare statements and pass them out at special meetings for the press, called press packages.

well as soon as newspapers hear about something they send their MOJO's (mobile journalists) to the spot....the journalists get the story as quick as they can, and post it up on the internet!
