Damned near sliced your finger off?
I did it earlier when installing a new sheet of glass in one of my windows. There was blood everywhere!

Yeah, when I was a really little kid, I found a folding knife and closed it the wrong way, went right to the bone.

Yes,I bought a new bread knife a few months ago as I'd had my other for years, I'd just got used to it I suppose and I didn't realise how sharp the new one was and sliced my finger,it poured in blood and it took ages to stop it.

Hey,that's quite an avatar. Yes,the sight of a blood-soaked extravaganza can only be appreciated aesthetically if there was minimal injury. It is surprizing how much blood a mere cut will generate. I cut myself - a finger - on a box cutter,one of those light plastic ones with the long blade and boy,I felt like I was inside a cheap gore film for teenagers.

Not near, I did! The tips (from the top knuckle) of my ring finger and middle finger on a table saw.

my boyfriend almost sliced his thumb off a few yrs ago when he was trying to open a box with a box cutter and someone came up and bumped him from behind. he had to have like 30 stitches. he now has a 4 inch scar from it.

Yes I was stupid - I took a razor blade slowly across my finger im like oh this isn't sharp...so then i did it again but much faster...and SLICE...damn that killed ill never do that again.
Oh ya I was like 7 so shut up lol :P

Yeah the perils of being a trainee chef - in the college kitchen, I used to have a first aid kit all to myself, now my hands are like a patchwork quilt! Aaahhh, occupational hazards!!

Once a year I end up in the ER with a self inflicted wound. twice with extremely bad finger wounds.
