I would say that a lighter shade of blue or a tie with green in it would go better than the basic black.

black would be very boring. you need a pop of color. my brother usually wears dark burgundy with khaki and white. And then wears a brown or black jacket. you could also do some sort of buttery yellow/gold tie. which would go with the warm tone of the khaki. Or also chocolate brown and blue.

if your wearing khaki's and a white shirt, then your tie color should be complimentary of your shoes. Since your shirt and pants are both rather neutral colors, soo if you wear brown shoes...then your tie can be , beige, tan, orange, ect..if they are black, then you can go more into blues, greens or greys....and you really can never go wrong if you wear a black tie with a white shirt...

well since your wearing really neutral colors, any tie color will go well with the pants and shirt.
i recommend:
black*
brown (any shade, preferably darker)*
powder blue*
lighter green (spring or mint green)
and then fall colors will go well: red, orange, burnt orange
and theres pink: real men wear pink! (not hot pink, light only)

the starred colored ties will go with almost every occasion that you need the tie for, but Black colored will go with everything. its simple, elegant, professional, or casual, whatever you want to be..

I think you could really do any of the cold colors. If your not an artsy person that means like blue, green, purple. the darker colors. I'd go for light-ish blue

I'm a woman but I think a Navy colored tie would look great. It looks fresh and neat looking.
