Yes you can. I doubt that you would given the close ages. I wouldn't risk it.

Stay in the state.

Well, technically, someone has to press charges, like the parent, to get you charged with kidnapping, and if she got kicked out of her house, they likely won't charge you. But it's a slippery legal slope -- if I were you, I'd stay away from it.

This seems like an odd situation.

Why was she kicked out? Why does she have no where else to go? Perhaps solve some of these things first before you flee.

Yes you can. In federal cases and in many states the DA presses charges, not the victim. You could end up in jail. Just don't do it unless you have written permission from the parents.

The parents could press charges, yes, but once you were caught up with and she explained she came along with you of her own free will the charges would most likely be dropped.

They can't legally kick her out at 17.

maybe, if the parents decide to be real buttheads. She needs to go to legal aid and get help.
