Old sacramneto is fun. You can eat dinner, and have a photo taken in old time clothes, plus visit lots of shops while walking the board walk.

My husband raves about the Spaghetti Factory. Before we met he'd taken dates there, the food was great, and certain nights they have stand-up comedy. One of these days we'll get back to Sac.
I agree though with going to Old Town Sac. It was a blast, strolling on the boardwalk, we had our old-time photo taken too, and then ate at a Mexican place on the upper level. Very memorable.

Pack some sandwiches, ride along the bike trail on the American River Parkway, enjoy a picnic and the wildlife.
