Seems like the point of this thing is to understand not beat people up for their points of view. I just see alot of thumbs down going to perfectly good answers just because people dont agree. Isnt thumbs down for if its a WRONG answer, not if you dont like what someone has to say because it doesnt line up with your beliefs?

if ive asked a question i give them all the thumbs up i dont nessessarily have to agree with them but they have taken the time to answer and i appreciate that it is their opinion and that is what ive asked for after all.. if i have given thumbs down its because the person has been rude or totally wrong

I know what you are saying. I saw the same thing in a thread where most of the answers were absolute truth, and some positively outstanding. All had thumbs down. Remarkable. I think those people are just out to stir the pot, period. The question they asked was something they probably made up. All the thumbs down supports that suspicion. The yahoo boards have improved substantially however, yahoo can't fix some bad personalities.

It's called an opinion and everyone has one. Thumbs up/down is our way of agreeing or disagreeing. And, yes, depending on the question it can be perceived as a right or wrong answer.

no one gives a wrong answer. but i usually give a person thumbs down if they insult me.
but yeah, i agree with you, some people on here are just totally one sided.

I completely agree with you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just because you may not agree does not warrant a thumbs down.

People dont like to hear the truth but it does suck when people yell at you or try to make you feel like crap but yes both sides should be heard.

Some people think that if you don't agree with their beliefs, that you are wrong...
And people ask questions like that just to hear themselves type...

I give thumbs down to people who disagree with my view WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO YELL AT ME FOR IT or they are trying to change my point of view.

i myself trust what u r announcing u r top i think of they do this reason they only prefer to ask and that they don't even care with reference to the respond they like to stay each and every of the time asking asking asking...... and that they gained't hear to any element different than there minds.
