my first daughter got her first on her 7 month birthday and #2 the next day. My middle daughter got her first at about 7 or 8 months and daughter #3 didn't get her first til 11 1/2 months old! They all ahve all their teeth now and have never had a cavitiy- any of them- and they are 29, 31 & 33!!! So, really, the age when a baby gets his first tooth isn't that crucial, although it seems so at the time- they all get them eventually!

My son got his first tooth around 9 months, and his second came in around 10 months. We are waiting for the top two to come now. It really does vary from baby to baby, and when you and your husband got teeth. I have a friend whose baby is 15 months and still has no teeth. Don't worry.

My son got his first 2 teeth on his 6 month birthday. But I have a cousin that was born with 2 teeth. It really just depends on the baby and maybe the genes?? No way for certain to know.

My first one was 10 months, the second only 2 1/2 months. It really does vary.
