I would imagine it would be frozen along with all their other assets.

in that case,i think it should be donated to a child protection charity, like childline or nspcc, to help stop it happening again. Who knows what happened that night, but i think the police are right to be looking closer to home. something is definatly not right were the mcanns are concerned. Poor little Maddie, lets hope shes found safe and well.

Just pray that if that did happen the money could go to a fund to help ALL missing children. Similarly should Madeleine be found alive, or God forbid, dead, then the fund should go the same way. Money can never replace a lost loved one, but maybe it can help to save others?

Not the same sort of thing but in drug smuggling and dealing cases, the courts have the power to seize any money made from the crime. If they are found guilty of this crime i would imagine this money will be treated in the same manner x

I have seen questions about this a couple of times can someone please tell me who Maddie McCann is. We seem to be out of the loop here in the US, and I haven't seen any coverage of it over here.

Ahh now I was wondering that too.
I'd be mighty pissed off if I'd donated to the fund.
I'd want my money back!!
But legally, I have no idea how it would work....good question!!!
