A homemade paint job will leave your vehicle looking like someone painted graffiti all over it, and then you'll have to go to a pro to get it removed (sounds like a tatoo, doesn't it?). ;)

At the very least, get some templates or cut-outs from a car parts retailer, local general retailer, hobby shop, or one of those lumber/appliance places that seem to have everything (sorry . . . I don't like to advertise companies). Tape the template to the vehicle, and spray away (you may need to use primer, first). Make sure you do this inside your garage or other enclosed area, to avoid bugs, bad weather, sun, and anything else that can damage the paint. You'll need to "finish" the paint with a lacquer or similar product to prevent it from chipping, peeling, washing off, etc. After allowing it to dry, thoroughly, depending on temperature, humidity, light, etc, remove the templates, and there you are! I don't know where, but you'll be "there"!

Good luck!

If you do it with spray cans, make it colorful. Like an art car. Spray painted cars look, um, country.

Well it is going to look terrible if you paint it with spray cans, so i will suggest to leave it as is.
