Yep, tow types in Arizona, a black widow in NM, and dealt with it pretty well, a neighbor was a nurse, she recognized the bite.
The only bite I had to see a doctor for was from a centipede, my whole foot felt like it was on fire, was tender to walk on for a week.
Of course, I survived another day, the centipede and scorpions, did not, never saw the spider, but have learned to fogeive them, as they do tend to keep other bugs in check.

As a matter of fact I was stung by one last week. It hurts a lot and it was just a little one. They live here in Florida.

Yes,twice.
The first one occured while I was having a swim with my friends in a lake, and the second occured in the cellar.
I was a child in both cases.

Yes, when I was a kid. We were out fishing and I was stung on the foot, my dad poured some whiskey on it and gave me an aspirin. It's not much worse than a wasp sting.

No years of camping in Florida has taught me to look in my shoes before putting them on.
