Yes I have read pretty much all of the internet messages. Very fascinating read, though obviously a fake.

For those who don't know, John Titor was possibly a pseudonym for someone claiming to come from the future (2036) who posted on internet messageboards during the year 2000 and early 2001. He claimed the world he was from had first been the USA ravaged by a massive civil war lasting years, and then a nuclear war around 2015-2016. According to him, the capital of the USA was now in Nebraska.

He had been sent back to retrieve a UNIX computer from the 1970s to solve a bug in a system in his time, however he said he stopped off at the turn of the 21st century to experience life and to discuss with posters. He supposedly traded in a 2036 vehicle leaving it here in our present and stayed with his parents in their house where his 2 year old self also was living. After generating a lot of interest, he claimed to be leaving in April 2001 to return to his time. After that, he was never heard from again.

His predictions were way off in some places, others were accurate:

Accurate (ones I could remember:)
America being 'divided' around the time of the 2004 election (this was the case due to George Bush's unpopularity.)
A war in Iraq (this was actually being discussed as far back as 1998.)
Some others as well

Inaccurate (though could be classed as events on different timeline)
Series of Waco-style events after 2004 until the civil war
Civil war in the USA by 2006 the latest
A CERN experiment in late 2001 would produce a major incident which would eventually lead to the development of the time machine (when no such major incident occured.)

I'm very impressed with these stories, for multiple reasons. Not to mention the "John Titor Foundation" made by the traveller's 'family' have made a lot of money over the last seven years.
