I've been trying to get my freelance graphic design business off the ground the past couple of months. I've finally started to make a little cash but I don't have any idea how to pay federal and state (KS) taxes. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You need a CPA. In the meantime, you should be setting aside money each month to go towards your taxes. The first year, you won't pay quarterly, but you will need to pay taxes when you file your taxes next year. A CPA will then figure out what you need to pay quarterly so that you don't have to pay all at once. A CPA will also know exactly what state forms/taxes need to be filed because each state is different.

Here you go:

It's for Kansas. On the left it says 'starting a business'.

You'll need to file sales tax on whatever schedule they require, have a business license, AND don't forget about saving money out of what you make because you'll need to pay the self employment tax (something I didn't know about at first!).
