Yes, well, we used to be ...look at our imports: Otter Pops, M.c. Hammer, The Golden Girls, slap bracelets, Ompelle (or however you spell her name)the McGriddle. I'm kidding of course.
Of course we are not the greatest country. Just look pretty much anywhere for a better country. It's all Carrot tops fault!

No it's not. I say this because the education isn't very good, the teen pregnancy rate is extremely high, the poverty rate is even higher.
The only decent thing the states has going for them is that it's hard to get on welfare- but even then who really knows the truth about that.
I'm not saying Canada is the best either but at least we don't have to wait in the ER for 6 hours or get huge hospital bills and our education is pretty good. Our pregnancy rate isn't the greatest but it's at least reasonable.
Canadians are nicer people. We don't have to worry about a moron president or wars. We're just laid back happy people.
A happy country is always the best in my opinion.

It was, until the late 60's when we lost our zeal for achievement. No serious competition yet,but someone will show up. It's still a great country, and it always will be but the low self-esteem liberals successfully purveyed over the last three decades has taken it's toll.

No. I don't see any country in my mind as the greatest, only different.

Since when was "Europe" a country?
Whatever. America is the only country where you can go around Badmouthing it on its own Soil.... Try that anywhere else

I believe so.
Freedom of Speech
Freedom of Religion
Freedom of Assembly
etc...
And all this under a system that encourages you to build a better mousetrap thus contributing to society in general and, in the process, affording you the possibility of being rewarded for your efforts with prosperity.
For all the "America Sucks" crowd, if that was the case how come so many people from other countries will do almost anything to come here?

I'm only 16, but from what I've seen and read about in history, and what I've noticed in people that live here in the US, I don't care for it at all. As soon as I'm out of Highschool I'm moving to Wales, it is right next door to England where my ancestors came from. Some people like this country though, there are a few good sides to living here, they just don't out weigh the bad sides for me. I think you would have to come here to decide for yourself.

NO!! Because the Beckhams live there now
Rainy little England is because you can murder the person you hate & get away with it. Also you can easily get pissed & drugged up to your eyeballs for cheap money, have a good fight and take advantage of our free healthcare while you are being fixed up in hospital
