To lay a patio, first you will need to check with your local building codes for a new patio. You will need to figure on how thick you want the concrete, usually 3". Then you dig the ground to the size of the patio including the extra size for your forms. Depending on the size of the patio you will need to dig footers on each corner of the patio ( not sure if this is mandatory in your are but it is in mine). If you are to lay a 3" thick patio you will want to dig down 6" this is for the sand and gravel, you then lay out rebar or wire mesh, this will help strengthen the concrete and prevent it from cracking. You then pour or pump in your concrete and begin to screed it and float it to the finish off your desire

well your question requires some more information. I would need to know the material you want to use and the size and shape you are going for. Every patio is built different so if you need ideas go to your local home improvement store or DIY.com. I hope you have fun with it.

First you have to dig a hole for the body (saw this done on Brookside many years ago), then you lay body in the hole face down (that way if it isn't quite dead it will take longer to dig through to Australia), next cover body and finally lay the slabs. That should do the trick.

I would include a spot for a backyard fire pit in your patio. Here are a few websites:

first thing you do is excavate to a depth of at least 170mm..then hardcore the area 100mm..at this depth you really don't need to wack it ..then mix building sand and cement into a consistency the same as brick laying ..you then lay the slabs using the five dot method..that is five blobs of mortar ..one in each corner and one in the middle ..and tap slab to right level..IMPORTANT ..always keep the slabs TWO COARSES of bricks below the dampcoarse level ...never go above this

Start off buying some drinks...... but really, look at the links above that someone else posted. Read a couple of books. You didn't really provide enough details for any one to give you a legit answer.
