For bluetooth to work you have to link the two devices to each other. You would have had to linked your phone to this mystery bluetooth thing before you lost it.

The most the bluetooth could tell you is if you are within about 30 feet of the phone and the phone has to be turned on and it has to have bluetooth enabled.

My car has bluetooth hands free w/navigation. If my phone is on, the nav system and the phone will link. I can get the link with the phone in the house and have the car in the driveway.

All this would tell you is that the phone is in the house, not exactly where in the house.

That's a good idea though.

Hi,

Bluetooth only works within a limited area. So if your phone is nearby and switched on etc you'll detect it. However, if you still have the original paperwork that came with the phone, and you can get hold of the IMEI or Serial number, you may be able to pinpoint the phone using a net mobile/cell tracker service.

Good luck and I hope you find it.
