Everyone is talking about this being Carr's last year and I agree (Even though I predict Michigan to bounce back and run the tables the rest of the season). So would Cowher make a good fit at Michigan? Can you think of anyone better? Who?

Hey that's a good fit for the Wolverines, Bill Cohwer will bring his tough no none sense attitude and have the Michigan players, play that Steelers tough defense attitude in no time. Wow good choice for Michigan coach.

I agree that Cowher may feel the need for a new challenge and there is speculation that he could at one point become a college coach. However, it will not be at Michigan. The only two scenarios I could see is 1) NC State(Cowher's alma mater) or 2) Florida St since he supposedly has inner ties within their administration...of course this would happen when Bobby Bowden retires.

No, dude

If Bill Cowher ever coaches college football, it will either be at Pitt or at NC State. He is a Super Bowl winning coach. He's not going back to college except for his hometown team or his alma mater. The only other SB winning coach who went back to college was Bill Walsh, and he went back to Stanford, where he started from.

Nice wishful thinking though. But never in a million years would it happen.

Maybe you should make a phone call to Boone, NC and see if the Appalachian State coach is available.

I don't think he would do it right now.

There is another coach who has proven the ability to recruit well to a small school and to win championships. I don't think Michigan fans could handle it though. Jerry Moore of Appalachian State would be a great coach at any Div 1 school.

Would you people leave the man alone. Also why do you think he would even WANT to coach there? He has NO ASSOCIATION to the School. I could see North Carolina being mentioned but Michigan? Why would he want to go from the Pros, who would likely pay him more, where any team would want him if he comes out of retirement? It isn't going to happen Michigan fans, so dream on. They would need to probably get the type of money Saban was given AND convince his daughter to go there, and even then you would need to wait another year.

good nfl coaches dont go to college. only rejects like saban and bill callahan go to college. cowher would never demote himself. cowher can easily get a job in the NFL which pays a heck of a lot more than what michigan can offer him. if cowher says he wants to coach again, half the teams in the league would offer him the job right away.

Considering they just bought a home in South Carolina, i'm gonna say no, and plus he's got a good thing at NBC. If he coaches anywhere it'll be somewhere close to home.

Louisiana State football coach Les Miles is the guy.

I'd pull the trigger on that deal. You're going to have a few pissed off OSU fans but hey, that's what college football is about.

I don't think he's going to coach anymore (although that would be sweet). Give him a few years off to see his daughter play BB and graduate, then start talking about this.

But Michigan? It's a dream, but I don't think it will be reality.
