he works a lot which i don't have a prob with but when he gets home hes tired or we gotta get this done or do that. or someone is stopping over or the phone is ringing. drives me nuts cuz i love him but i don't think he'll ever understand what i mean by quality time. how do i get it through his head?

Most guys need to be trained. (giggles)
Why not have something planned 1 or 2 days during the week. When he comes home from work, have a date night planned or family night (if you have children).
Rent a movie or go see a movie at a theater. If at home, take the phone off the hook and watch a movie on the couch and snuggle with him. Show him that you love him and you also in return need some attention.
It may take some time, but he will sooner or later get the idea.
