It can but it doesn't have to. When you have your cycle each month you can have some discomfort, in terms of cramps & bloating & moodiness but this too can vary. Each month is not the same & it varies from woman to woman.
Bleeding each month is what makes you a woman & you will get used to it & it will become second nature.

Blood coming out of your genitals is bound to make anyone sad. But seriously, yes, it's hormonal and very normal.

yea. alot of women become slightly depressed, angry, or sad around the time of their period.
