I believe the environment influences & help shapes a culture.

Just looking through history of native & aboriginal people, they all worshipped nature & were careful to take only what was needed to survive; i.e. North American Indians hunting the buffalo sparringly & using all of the carcass for their needs (or else the god(s) would be infuriated).

The environment makes the culture. If you are grown with knowledgeable people you gain some of them.

its a vicious circle.

the environment of the ancient world, over a period of time formed what we call culture.

and that culture over time then decides the environment.
