Ive always been very fond of all 3 teams, but Im not sure which team I want to be a true fan of...Its basically illegal to be both a Red Sox fan and Yankees fan, and basically the same with the Mets and Yankees. Im not from either place so I dont know which to side with. What do you think?

Depends on your personality. If you suffer from arrogance, obnoxiousness, rudeness, hostility and the usual unattractive human qualities, then be a Yankee fan.
To the Yankee fan 'Drew', it's not always jealousy. It's the typical Yankee fan attitude that breeds hatred of the Yankees. The problem lies more with the Yankee fan than the team itself.
Otherwise, I think you'll probably jump on the bandwagon of whoever, (if it's 1 of these 3 teams), wins the World Series this year.

Pick a team that you like for whatever reasons you want...its about who you care about, not whos the flavor of the month. Im an Indians fan, my gf is an Angels fan, my best friend is a Cubs fan, my boss is a Dodger fan and the guy who does my roofing is a Yankees fan and where I work there is probably fans of at least a dozen more clubs. Its who you like...not a popularity contest

Follow your heart. It's not illegal to be both a fan of the Mets and Yankees, they are in different leagues. Many people have American League favorites and National League favorites. But Lord help you if you try to root for Boston and NYY at the same time!!!!!!!! Unless you have multiple personalities, that would definitely make sense.

knowledgeable followers do no longer whine. They be certain the area. Mick is acceptable. If all of us whines that's those area time followers who think of of their team has some form of entitlement. And he actual does not stay below a rock. the guy is rather dam smart. rather bush league of you to declare that. the respect component is straight forward. it is no longer loss of delight in, that's jealousy from distinctive followers. you may wager there's a brilliant form of delight in for a minimum of two of the communities, Yankees and Sox. Why you have lined the Cubs i do no longer pay interest to. What have they finished interior the previous 103 years or so? which could be no longer something! Oh yea, you forgot to function the main mandatory element of your question. you're a Yankee hater! Have a intense-intense high quality day!

Go with Boston! Best ballpark, best cast of characters (Manny, Papi) and best of all, they ARE the best team. You will get sick of the arrogant NY Yank broadcasters and overpaid, washed up players, and their sloppy crybaby fans with their Got Rings shirts. Their egos will again be smashed this fall. The Mets are wannabe's of NYYanks, but also have bad uniforms and an even worse TV network. Be original and join RED SOX NATION!!!!!!!!!

if u r the kind of person who doesnt mind his or her own busines and likes to rip on other teams no matter how terrible their own team is doing, then by all means be a Mets or a Red Sox fan

but if u wanna be a fan of the most elite, most glamorous, the most envied, the most talked about, the most successful franchise in all of baseball and almost all of sports, then I welcome you as a Yankees fan, and as a New Yorker, the greatest metropolis on earth!

If you enjoy crying, be a Red Sox or Mets fan. If you like winning, be a Yankees fan. Period.

But to be a Yankee fan, you've also got to be ok with people outside of the Tri-state area hating you. Jealousy breeds hate. :)

Alot of Yankee fans root for the Mets if the Yankees aren't playing them. And we'll root for any team playing the Red Sox!

"There never was a curse. The Red Sox just sucked for over 80 years."

Aside from the Cubs, a Yankee win would be the best story in baseball for 2007.
