Well, dear, apparently Dad has already married. So, it's kind of a moot point.

Did the young lady Just decide she's unhappy or has she been fussing all along?

I wouldn't term the young woman a brat. She's obviously hurt and having issues. These are very hard to deal with when You are the Child.

Dad needs to spend some one on one with his daughter. He should not insist on a relationship iwth his new wife and child. He just needs to shore up his relationship with her and let that evolve.

Right now she's in pain. That's what he needs to address.

Tell her that you refuse to choose between the new GF and her.

Your door is always open, but just the same as when she was growing up, there are rules to follow, rule number one is to be nice the the woman you love.

End of story.

You should not give in to the whims of your children. If they choose to feel a certain way then they need to deal with it...you have the right to be happy, too.

she is just jealous that is all I would tell her I love you and I am not trying to replace you but this is my wife and child and I expect you to respect them and treat them nicely and if you can't do that then stay away until you can change you feelings

Tell her that she is being immature and bratty but hey it's her choice to cut us out of her life.
