I never have - but a friend of mine once started referring to a French surgeon I used to have as "Monsieur-le-knife".

I have heard them called a butcher, a quack and mine is a General Practicioner! Well he can practice on the 'General' He ain't practicin' on me!

LOL- I'm having another surgery in November... I don't think I would want to insult my doc pre-surgery!!

as a nurse who works with them... i can tell you we call them many names,,,sawbones is the least of their worries....most done in fun,,,
