The VAST majority of women will be born with hymens. It is VERY rare that a woman is born without one...but it CAN happen. I suppose just like anything else however, the elasticity of your hymen might depend upon genetics. But I am very willing to bet that every woman in your family line has had one at one point in their lives...although they are VERY fragile and can be broken by any number of things including impact trauma early in childhood.
