Miranda is nice. ;) Unfortunately, the only one I know has always been called "Randi," and she hates that. LOL So I'd have to say "love the name ... but don't call her Randi!" ;)
Mira would be a really pretty, feminine nickname alternative. There's also Mia, if you're more into the popular names. And Manda or Mandy are some more dated options (not my first choice, but you may like them). :)

I like it. I think it's classy, and literary. It reminds me of Miranda from The Tempest. You could call her Mira, Randa, or Randy. There was actually a children's book called the Four Story Mistake, and one of the main characters was named Miranda and called by the last nickname.

I really like this name if my cousin didnt have this name I would have probably named my baby girl Miranda. I especially like the way in sounds in spanish.

I love the name Miranda. In fact, that's the name of one of my cats. I'm not trying to be funny - I don't have kids, I have cats and they all have human names I would use if I did have kids.

Honestly, I've never liked that name. I think it's because I've known 2 Miranda's and I didn't care for either of them. So, I'm probably not a good source!!

That's my step-daughter's name. We call her Mandy. Her name is Miranda Rae. It was actually an invented name out of some book but I can't remember which one. It means "admirable"

I personally don't like it. It isn't very pretty to me. It seems... brash. But just my opinion, I know it's tough to hear negative critisicm on something you may like. Sorry :-)
