My daughter has a flat head in the back and obviously I no it is from being laid down to much. She is 9 weeks old and when I take her to the daycare I tell them not to let her lay down all day. But when I get there she is always laying down and I ask if they held her much everyday and they said no not really we have just been really busy. So my question is what can I do to make sure her head doesnt get any worse? I am not switching daycares. Is there anything that they can put her in so she isnt always laying down? She can hold her head up pretty well on her own.

She hates to be on her stomach. When I try belly time for about 15 minutes she screams the whole time.

Honestly sweetheart if they are "too busy" to take care of your child, you really should consider switching day cares. I would be more concerned about her not recieving adequate stimulation and human interaction than having a flattened out noggin... Just giving them something to prop her up with and them still leaving her by herself pretty much all day, especially that small, is a shame...

Is there really nowhere better to take her?

I know what you mean. My baby had a flat head too from laying down but as she has gotten older it's less noticeable, it's nothing to worry about, all babies have flat heads, specially when very young, like Ava is. Also my baby used to hate tummy time, I used to put her just for 5 mins because she'd screamm the whole time, now that she rolls her way she loves it. It will pass...

Buy the side wedge and take it to the daycare. Ask them to lay her on her side, back, and then other side. Ask the daycare to put her on a rotation schedule. Let them know that you are concerned about the shape of her head.

Well, you may invest in one of those little side sleepers that helps them to be propped up a little bit, or even a boppy pillow. However, I strongly suggest you look into other daycare possibilities, as it sounds like your daughter isn't getting enough interaction. I know that is a big undertaking, but you really want her to be treated as well as you treat her.
Good luck to you!

Tell them that your doctor said if she is laid down too much it could do permanent brain damage, because she has a weak spot in her skull and laying down all the time is putting too much constant pressure on that part of her brain.

I know it sounds kinda ridiculous, maybe you can come up with something better, but when you start telling them it's a medical thing and if they don't give your baby what she needs you could sue they might start caring!

You could get her a bumbo seat to use at the daycare. We used a laundry basket at home, with towels, but Id recommend the tested item for an outside setting.

there is this boppy toy that i loved for my daughter. it's like a small boppy pillow on a leaf cushion, so that very small babies can lay on their tummies by themselves. maybe even just having her be propped up would help so she isnt completely lying flat. like in a bouncer chair or swing.

have her lay on her belly. I know, SIDs but that only happens when they're sleeping. If she's awake, she'll be fine.
