S I am pregnant .my question is how will i know if my cervix is open or closed?
i have heard that if cervix is open then miscarriage can happpen.i dont know how to check if my cervix is open or closed.pls give me details abt it .

A plug closes it up until it is time for the baby to come.

You don't personally check to see if your cervix is closed or open, you have to have a doctor do that and that is when he puts his hand into your vaginal space and the other on your pelvic area and he presses in during the examination to see if you're open or closed.
One doesn't just happen to have a open cervix. Your body is closed and the opening is very small the pain that women feel in labor is that your pelvis area is separating going to 10 cm to allow the baby to pass through the birth canal.
Usually if you have a cervic that is open during the early months of pregnancy there are ways that the physician can have it sewn together (there is a procedure for this) and it will remain that way until it is time for delivery. Talk to your OB/GYN doctor.

the only way to find out is to go to the doctor and usually ur mucus plugg come sout fisrt and if you are pregnant u need to go to the doctor so u can get ur vitamins. don't do any liftingthat can increase the chances of having a miscarriage..

Don't worry about it unless you're having unstoppable contractions. Also, it's your doctor or midwife's job to check your cervix.

omg you shouldn't even be trying to look at that! Chill out, woman! Doing stuff like that yourself will only make you that much more likely to miscarry, as will ---worrying about it---. Be calm and think rationally. Have your doctor look at it if you are that absolutely terrified that you are going to miscarry your child.
