You shouldn't ask that . A Christmas present is not an obligation, therefore you don't have a right to ask for it early.

By asking that, you're pretty much EXPECTING a Christmas gift. Although you know you're getting one, it is not something that should be taken for granted.

This would come off as rude, please don't do that.

You don't. A gift is something someone gives you of their own free will - not because they "have" to or because someone demanded it. To ask for a Christmas present at all, let alone early, would be both presumptuous and rude, because it implies that 1) you expect a gift to be given at all, and 2) you are demanding when it should be given to you rather than letting the giver decide.

First, you are assuming this person will be giving you one.
Secondly, that is in very poor taste to put in a request a Christmas present early.
I wouldn't do it if I were you.

Sorry, but it sounds as if you are demanding a certain Christmas present. My gifts are just that, gifts and not as demands, but are freely given. If you did that to me, you would get nothing at all.

This is my help from Washington, D.C. USA.

You shouldnt do that...its mean and selfish. If it was something you really needed than you shouldnt have asked for it for Christmas then.

i think that's really rude. how do you even know that they got you something if you needed it so badly you should just buy it or borrow. but if it were a life or death situation then i'd ask but otherwise no. sorry
