Not only do they fight any legislation that would require an ounce of truth being told to their clients seeking counseling for an unplanned pregnancy (never refer clients to adoption agencies nor tell of financial assistance for having the child, at least in my area anyway) but now they decieve town and city governments about buildings they want built? If they have nothing to hide, why are they so deceptive in their tactics down to having buildings built?

Hillary, not a nut job here, just an adoptee, and a single never-been-married parent (and also a woman). I have not named called and ask for the same level of respect. And as I stated, in my area, Planned Parenthood has not provided honest help as maybe has been received in other areas of the country. Local non-profit organizations (religious and non-religious based) help women pregnant and not pregnant for free or on a sliding scale all the time, so to say there are no other organizations out there to help women is also not true. I am completely respectful of the dignity of each human life, however calling me a "nutjob" was uncalled for and frankly judgemental. Maybe if you don't agree with someone you should be able to stand on your support for your opinion not name calling.

The article itself answers your question. Planned Parenthood kept the nature of the building a secret to avoid drawing protests from the pro-life side. If they did not, the protests would have delayed completion of the building and cost them money for the extra construction delay.

Based on nutjobs like you, I'm not surprised they don't want it to be public knowledge where they have a building. And they actually do refer women to adoption agencies and other organizations -- but they don't force them to do anything they don't want to do.
Just get off your soapbox and let it go. You do what you want with your body, and let everyone else do the same.

I don't see a problem with the tactics used by the people having the building built. Maybe they were quiet about it because they knew crazy anti-abortion fanatics would try and target them! You're making a big deal out of nothing.
And please, next time you try to accuse Planned Parenthood of something, use an unbias source, not a Right to Life association.
