I've added it to an underground hole, known to house rattlesnakes. Yes, I've checked wikipedia.

I do not know if it can kill Snakes as its primary use is for rodent control, perhaps if you control the food source the snake will leave but they do have a product on the market that is very effective at repelling snakes and works up here in the Texas Hill Country. The snake is probably harmless, and ironically you are attempting to kill it with a rat poison. Snakes eat rats and other small rodents...So, give the guy a chance and then maybe you'll be able to save a few bucks on the fumigant.

Why do you want to kill the snakes? Let me guess, you built the house and now you have to rid the area of every living thing. Why don't you catch them and put them somewhere away from your house? We don't really need to kill every thing. They do a lot of good.
