Is it almost a GB or something,i'm confused?

It is .1 away from a gig! Add that and you will have 1 gig

technically you have 1gb of ram. Sometimes windows will report odd amounts of RAM for unknown reasons. Sometimes the integrated video card steals RAM from the system, so if you have a video card built into the motherboard it may be stealing that extra 16 or 32mb that would allow XP to read it as 1gb.

That is the capacity of a 1gb RAM, if it is on board in your computer that means you have, 990MegaByte or 0.99GigaByte of memory...
